Power2Patients rebalances the power in healthcare by putting patient needs first to improve access, affordability and patient experience of care.
For too long, healthcare decisions have been driven by institutions, profit, and politics—not the people who rely on care. We’re changing that.

Who We Are
Power2Patients is a bipartisan, 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to putting patients at the center of healthcare policy and decision-making. We uniquely bring providers and patients together to harness lived experience, research, and policy expertise to challenge a system that routinely sidelines the people it is meant to serve.
Patients and clinicians work together in one movement. Advocacy usually organizes one or the other. We are merging the two.

What We Do
- Develop patient-centered policy strategy
- Conduct research and policy analysis to identify where healthcare fails patients and what reforms would put patients first
- Educate and Inform
- Translate complex policy into clear, accessible information for patients, advocates, and decision-makers
- Build the roadmap for change
- Create national strategies that empower patients to influence policy and institutional decisions

The Problem
Patient frustration is at an all-time high. Nearly one in four Americans say the U.S. healthcare system is in crisis. Patients face rising costs, delayed or denied care, crushing medical debt, and opaque decision-making that leaves them powerless when it matters most.
We don’t believe patients need to be “included” in healthcare reform—they need power to demand a better system.
Power2Patients develops evidence-based policy solutions that:
- Elevate patient experience as a core policy metric
- Require transparency and accountability from healthcare decision-makers
- Ensure patients have a seat at every table where care, coverage, and cost decisions are made
These solutions form the foundation for national action through FightForPatients.

Our Priority Issues
- Unaffordable Healthcare Costs
Premiums, deductibles, and out-of-pocket costs that strain families and communities. - Care Denials and Delays
Prior authorization, denials and utilization management practices that interfere with timely, medically necessary care. - Healthcare Debt and Bankruptcy
A system where illness too often leads to financial ruin. - Access to Care
Narrow networks, workforce shortages, and barriers that make it harder to see a provider. - Lack of Transparency
Patients are expected to navigate costs, coverage, and outcomes without clear information.
