Mission & Vision

Power2Patients is dedicated to putting patients at the center of healthcare policy and institutional decision making. Governed by aggrieved, energized patients and passionate, patient-focused healthcare professionals who are on their side, we harness lived experience, research, and decades of policy expertise to challenge a system that routinely sidelines the people it is meant to serve.

Core Values

1. Patients First—Always
Patient-centered change is our top priority, and patients’ lived experiences, needs, and outcomes are the North Star for all our work.

2. Patient Power and Accountability
We believe meaningful change requires organized patient power, and that healthcare institutions, insurers, corporations, and governments must be accountable to the people they serve—not insulated from them.

3. Equity
We recognize that patients of all types, regardless of social status, political affiliation, income, race, or gender face healthcare challenges, but also that harm is not evenly distributed. We are committed to addressing inequities in healthcare access, cost, and outcomes.

4. Independence and Integrity
We maintain independence from corporate and industry influence. Our positions are driven by patient interests alone, informed by evidence, ethics, and the real experiences of patients and clinicians.

5. Collaboration with Purpose
We work alongside clinicians and other dedicated health care professionals, patient advocacy organizations, researchers, and community leaders who share our commitment to patient-centered care and who are willing to challenge entrenched power structures.

6. Transparency
Patients deserve clear, honest information about costs, coverage, quality, and decision-making processes. We champion transparency as a prerequisite for trust, accountability, and informed choice.

7. Action-Oriented Advocacy
Education alone is not enough. We translate research and patient stories into strategies that drive real-world change—policy reform, cultural shifts, and measurable improvements in patient experience and outcomes.

8. Broad, Inclusive Movement
Healthcare frustration cuts across political, economic, and geographic lines. We welcome patients and allies from all backgrounds who believe that healthcare should serve people first.
